
Voters went to the polls to vote for their favorite candidate in the Kentucky Primary Election on Tuesday, May 16.
Agriculture Commissioner and Governor were the only races that had both Democrat and Republican candidates running. The winners of these two races will face off in the General Election on November 7.
The winners were:
Agriculture Commissioner:
Democrat – Sierra Enlow by 59%
Republican – Jonathan Shell by 56%
Governor:
Democrat – Andy Beshear by 91%
Republican – Daniel Cameron by 48%
Secretary of State, Auditor and Treasurer only had Republican candidates running in the primary.
The winner were:
Secretary of State – Michael Adams by 64%
Auditor: Allison Ball by 72%
Treasurer: Mark Metcalf by 51%
Also Republican Greg Elkins won the race for State Senate District 28 by 50%.
