A man wanted in Breckinridge County has been arrested in far western Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police Post 1 received information that 26-year-old Brandon Dowell, of Hardinsburg, was staying at a residence in Ballard County. Troopers, along with deputies from the Ballard County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a residence in the La Center community on Tuesday (11/14), where the homeowner confirmed Dowell was inside the residence and was in possession of a firearm.
After law enforcement made contact using a PA system, Dowell was taken into custody without further incident.
A firearm was located and determined to have recently been stolen from another location in Ballard County.
Dowell was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property as well as warrants from Breckinridge County on charges including Burglary, Criminal Mischief, Theft By Unlawful Taking, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, and Escape.
He is being held in the Ballard County Detention Center without bond.
