There are planned lane and sidewalk closures on Clark Memorial Bridge scheduled starting Monday.
The bridge, also known as the Second Street Bridge, over the Ohio River connecting downtown Louisville to Jeffersonville is due for construction according to Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
The northbound right lane and northbound sidewalk is scheduled to be closed Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Contract crews will repair the sidewalk during the closures as part of a bridge railing repair project.
Motorists and pedestrians are encourage to proceed cautiously through the work zone. Construction is scheduled to be completed by winter of 2023. Judy C. Harp Company, Inc. was awarded the $210,663 contract, according to a news release.
The cantilever truss bridge was built in 1929.
