A woman who was hit by a car in a Pleasure Ridge Park fatal accident Friday night has been identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
The woman was identified to be 46-year-old Yashica Wiley, according to Deputy Coroner Leigh Maroni.
Louisville police responded to the call at about 6:20 p.m. of a collision involving pedestrian on Dixie Highway at the intersection with Fury Way.
The preliminary investigation found a woman who had been struck by a vehicle, according to a Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson.
The woman was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital where she died from her injuries.
All parties remained on the scene and the LMPD Traffic Unit is investigating.
