
The Elizabethtown Police Department said a minor has been charged with second-degree terroristic threatening after making a threat toward students at Central Hardin High School.
The FBI’s Threat Assessment Center contacted Elizabethtown police on Wednesday shortly after 10:30 p.m. Within five minutes, officers made contact with the suspect and they were eventually taken to a juvenile detention facility, according to an Elizabethtown Police Department release.
Elizabethtown police said there was never a time when the safety of students or staff were compromised.
This incident is still being investigated and the Elizabethtown Police Department said it has been in frequent contact with officials for Hardin County Schools.
