Police have made an arrest after an advisory was sent earlier this week reporting a man near downtown hospitals exposing himself, harassing others, and more.
Antonio Coleman, 31, was arrested Friday afternoon near East Broadway and South 1st Street after Louisville Metro Police received another report of a person exposing themselves.
Earlier this week, Norton Hospital sent out a warning to their employees urging them to be on the lookout for Coleman, who is said to ride up and down the Floyd Street corridor, sit on public walkways and stake out near the 224 parking garage, harassing women.
And while he is now in custody, Louisville Metro Police shares what you should do if you were to encounter something like this.
LMPD First Division Detective Sergeant Cam Chenault said since you never know someone’s intentions or what they are willing to do to avoid law enforcement the best thing to do is be a good witness, gather information and relay that to the police department and just stay in a safe position.
Norton also offered shuttle services for employees to and from their parking locations and encouraged them to walk in pairs and to call police if they encountered anyone.
Coleman was arrested on outstanding warrants and a new charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Louisville Metro Police Department. He was lodged in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.
Coleman has been arrested before on similar charges but was usually released after a brief hold on mental inquest warrants.
