A Grayson County man previously accused of fighting the county’s sheriff and a deputy in October in front of the sheriff’s office has now been arrested for allegedly using Facebook Live to threaten to rape a 15-year-old relative.
According to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, a family member of the 15-year-old told officers the girl had been receiving explicit messages, including requests for sex and threats of rape, from 31-year-old Travis England of Leitchfield.
Sheriff Norman Chaffins said it was later reported that England went on Facebook Live and, “asked if it would be better to ask her for sex or just break into her house and rape her.” Police later obtained a search warrant for England’s Facebook account as well as a warrant for his arrest.
Chaffins said on Friday around 5:45 p.m., deputies went to England’s home on Sadler Road. They tried to talk with England outside his bedroom window, but when he refused to come out, a sergeant used a battering ram to force their way inside the front door. England was found in the kitchen and arrested without further incident.
England is charged with prohibited use of electronic communications system to procure a minor for sex. He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
