
The man charged with murder in connection with a shooting in the Russell neighborhood last month appeared in court for the first time Saturday morning.
Tysean Effinger, 23, was arrested Friday and is facing charges of murder and having a gun while being a convicted felon.
He is accused of shooting and killing Kevin Ardis during a fight at a liquor store in the 2100 block of West Muhammad Ali Blvd in January.
The judge set Effinger’s bond at $100,000. He is scheduled to be back in court later this month.
