Louisville Metro Police homicide detectives arrested a second person in connection with a fatal shooting in November 2023 in a Dixie Highway home.
Paul Pitney was found with gunshot wounds in his home in the 1100 block of Dixie Highway on November 7, 2023, after officers responded to a ShotSpotter report of gunfire. He was taken to UofL Hospital but died a short time later.
Louisville Metro Police detectives from the Homicide Unit worked with members of the Violent Crime Unit to make the arrest Tuesday evening after spotting the suspect near East Broadway and East Shelby Street, according to a news release.
Although the suspect recently turned 18 years old, he is not being identified because he was a juvenile when the shooting occurred, according to an LMPD spokesperson.
Another man, 23-year-old Stephen Robinson, is already in custody after he was arrested February 17. Court documents indicate Robinson shot Pitney multiple times inside the home while the juvenile was present.
Pitney’s two daughters were also inside the home at the time of the shooting but weren’t harmed, according to court documents.
The specific charges the second suspect faces have not been released.
Robinson is charged with murder, five counts of wanton endangerment and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
