Several agencies responded to a fatal vehicle crash on Veterans Memorial Lane on Sunday morning.
Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower said it happened at 5:18 a.m. near Barren River Road. He reports that a white Nissan Sentra traveled into the opposite lane and hit a grey Toyota Highlander head on.
The driver of the Nissan, 57-year-old Said Dahir Hashi, was transported to the Medical Center and was pronounced dead. The other driver was treated at the Medical Center with suspected minor injuries.
Portions of Veterans Memorial Lane were closed between Glen Lily and Barren River Road for accident reconstruction for a few hours.
