Louisville police said a woman was killed in a crash involving a pickup truck over the weekend.
It happened just before 7:30 a.m. on Saturday. Police said 78-year-old Carolyn Greaves was headed south on Buechel Bypass when she tried to turn left onto Plaza Avenue and crashed into a truck that was headed north on the bypass. Her car went off the road and crashed into a tree. Greaves died before she could be taken to the hospital.
Police said the driver of the truck was taken to the hospital but is expected to survive his injuries.
LMPD’s Traffic Unit is investigating the crash.
