The Commonwealth Attorney’s Office filed the motion to consolidate the cases for Brooks Houck, Joseph Lawson, and his father Steven Lawso
The Commonwealth says all three men were involved in the murder of Crystal Rogers and their crimes overlapped.
Attorneys argue that all the same facts would be presented like they were for the grand jury indictments.
Brooks Houck currently is charged with Complicity to Murder and Complicity to Tampering with Physical Evidence while Joseph and Steven Lawson are charged with Complicity to Tampering with Physical Evidence and Conspiracy to Murder, all related to the case.
All three men have also filed motions to have their cases moved out of Nelson County, claiming it would be impossible to get a fair jury because of the publicity of the case.
