Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a man was shot in the Okolona neighborhood Tuesday night.
Officers were called about 11 p.m. to the 7300 block of Preston Highway near the Super Stop Food Mart, according to LMPD spokesperson Sgt. Matt Sanders.
Once officers arrived, they found a man with several “penetrating injuries.” Sanders said the man was struck by at least six buckshot pellets from a shotgun. The man was taken to UofL Hospital, and Sanders said he is expected to survive.
LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating.
