A Scottsville man was charged with drug possession and trafficking after a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon.
Zachary Pace, 26, was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and trafficking in marijuana.
At 4 p.m., Allen County deputies started a traffic stop near the 1000 block of Carter Church Road where they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Police identified Pace as the driver and found 4.5 ounces of marijuana, a hand gun and several marijuana joints in the vehicle.
Pace also was searched where police found a $1 bill containing cocaine.
Pace was lodged in the Allen County Detention Center.
