A man shot in a Radcliff apartment parking lot in the early hours Wednesday morning has been identified by authorities.
Jarrin L. Davis, 30, of Radcliff, was pronounced dead after authorities found his body in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Knox Boulevard.
Accused in Davis’ death is 23 year-old Nicholas Michael Vandergrift, of Louisville, who is charged with murder in the shooting and faces other charges of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence with minor injury and tampering with physical evidence.
Officers were sent to the apartment complex at 4:24 a.m. on a disturbance call and found Davis’ body.
An arrest citation for Vandergrift said after shooting Davis, Vandergrift left an apartment through a back window and fled, discarding the handgun, which was found 50 to 75 yards from the window.
Prior to the shooting, Vandergrift is accused of pushing his girlfriend down and striking her in the mouth causing minor injury, according to the citation.
Vandergrift, who was found and arrested without incident shortly before 6 a.m., is being held in lieu of a $1 million cash bond in the Hardin County Detention Center.
He is scheduled to appear April 1 in Hardin District Court.
