Louisville Metro Police have arrested and charged two people in connection to a shooting last June.
On Thursday, Louisville Metro Police arrested 30 year-old Willetta Lewis and charged her with complicity murder and robbery in connection to the shooting death of 38 year-old Jeffrey Bizzle on June 1, 2023.
According to court records, Lewis stole items from Bizzle at 1st and Jacob streets, and Bizzle was then shot by another man.
Police said Lewis was identified by a witness through surveillance video, and investigators also used the surveillance video to identify 29 year-old Timothy Wright, the man who shot Bizzle.
Lewis and Wright were initially arrested by Jeffersontown Police last September. During that arrest, a gun was found, and police said the recovered gun matched evidence collected at the murder scene.
Wright is facing murder and complicity to robbery charges. Both were set to be arraigned Friday at 9 a.m.
