An arrest has been made in the deadly hit-and-run that left a father of three dead back in March.
On March 25, 48-year-old John “Michael” Nash was walking on the northbound shoulder of Preston Highway when he was hit by a car. The car that hit him sped off, continuing northbound on Preston before turning onto Fern Valley Road.
The car was described by witnesses as a white passenger sedan with damage on the front passenger side. An arrest citation said 49-year-old James Foutch was seen on surveillance getting into his car in the 7300 block of Preston Highway, not far from where Nash was hit.
Foutch is charged with manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident without rendering aid, and failure to maintain required insurance.
