A Hodgenville woman is accused of scanning her own license to sell a vape to a juvenile during an undercover buy.
Hodgenville Police Department used a juvenile investigative assistant April 1 to conduct a series of controlled buys of vapes.
At approximately noon, the juvenile entered Hometown Mini Mart, 1006 Lincoln Farm Road, and purchased a vape from the clerk, identified as Jennifer Timmer.
Because registers at the business do not allow tobacco sales without scanning the purchaser’s ID, and the juvenile did not have one, police said Timmer scanned her own license to complete the transaction.
Of the six area businesses targeted, Hometown was the only one to sell to the juvenile. Timmer was charged with unlawful transaction with a minor.
