Three Logan County men are facing several drug-related charges after police executed two search warrants Tuesday.
Agents with the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force served one of the search warrants at 704 Lewisburg Edwards Road in Russellville, and agents found crystal meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, digital scales and several unidentified pills.
The other search warrant was served at 150 Mulberry Street in Lewisburg, where agents found a large quantity of crystal meth and items pertaining to crystal meth trafficking.
Police arrested Timothy Anderson, Christopher Wall and Melvin T. Wright following the executions of the search warrants. The Logan County Sheriff’s Office helped with the arrests.
Detectives with the Drug Task Force are working to combat a surge of meth and fentanyl in the area, according to a statement from Drug Task Force Director Jacky Hunt.
Hunt said the cost to combat drugs in the area has went up with little increases in the budget to make up for the rising costs. He urged citizens to reach out to legislators and let them know their concerns about drug-related issues in the area.
An investigation remains ongoing.
