A woman has been arrested after Louisville Metro Police said she went around a roadblock and almost hit officers as they were investigating a deadly hit-and-run.
Arrest documents state the incident happened early Tuesday morning as police were investigating the hit-and-run on Preston Highway involving a bicyclist that left 39-year-old Jennifer Davis dead.
Police said while they were investigating the scene, 22-year-old Taylor Humphreys, of Shepherdsville, drove around the roadblock, almost hitting several detectives and nearly running over Davis’ body.
A nearby tow truck driver actually helped stop Humphreys’ car.
Humphreys has been arrested and booked at Louisville Metro Department of Corrections on charges of wanton endangerment, reckless driving, and disregarding signals from officers.
