
A teenage boy was shot at the Waterfront following Thunder Over Louisville, according to Louisville Metro Police Department.
Louisville Metro Police confirmed a “juvenile male was shot” in the stomach near the Purple Lot, directly underneath I-65. The boy was taken to University of Louisville Hospital.
The boy is expected to survive his injuries, according to a Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson.
Police said River Road was closed after the shooting.
In an update, police said they do not believe this was a random shooting.
There are no known suspects. Police are asking anyone with information regarding the case or who may have been videoing at the time to call their anonymous tip line at (502)574-LMPD (5673) or online at the LMPD Crime Tip Portal.
