If you live in Kentucky, you might be entitled to money that you didn’t know about.
According to the Kentucky Treasury, the unclaimed property fund for the state contains assets valued at nearly $800 million.
These funds generally consist of payroll checks, unclaimed safety deposit boxes, old life insurance policies, and vendor checks.
Unclaimed property belonging to either an individual directly or a deceased loved one can be searched for and claimed on the Kentucky Treasury website.
