A person died in Lake Cumberland after a boating accident on Saturday, according to Russell County Search and Rescue.
Emergency crews responded to a boating accident on the lake near Cemetery Island around 1:30 a.m. One person was rescued, but another person died in the incident.
Russell County Search and Rescue deployed seven members and two marine units to the crash. A diver from the team went into the water and found the second victim.
The person who died hasn’t been identified.
