A man was arrested Thursday in connection to a fatal stabbing in the Newburg neighborhood, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 4100 block of Quiet Way around 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, according to officials.
When officers arrived, they found a man who had been stabbed multiple times. He died before he could be taken to the hospital.
Witnesses told officers the victim and his son were arguing, according to the arrest report. Another witness who was inside the home said they heard screaming outside where the victim was found.
Officers found the son, 33-year-old Eddieser Machin, in his bedroom with what appeared to be blood on his shoes and clothes.
Machin was taken for questioning and a search warrant was granted. During the search, officers found a possible murder weapon, according to the arrest report.
Machin was arrested and charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence. He is scheduled for arraignment on May 3.
