
Kentucky State Police responded to a single-vehicle fatal collision on Greensburg Road in LaRue County Sunday evening.
On May 5, at approximately 6:30 EDT, Kentucky State Police Post 4 received a call from LaRue Co. Dispatch requesting assistance investigating a single-vehicle fatal collision at the 6000 block of KY 61.
The preliminary investigation revealed 59 year-old Bobby D. Sexton, of Magnolia, was operating a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on KY 61 when, for unknown reasons, he traveled onto the shoulder of the roadway before overcorrecting, causing the vehicle to overturn several times.
Sexton was pronounced deceased at the scene by the LaRue County Coroner’s Office. Two other passengers, an adult and a child, were in the vehicle at the time. The adult passenger was flown to the University of Louisville, and the juvenile was flown to Norton Children’s Hospital, both for life-threatening injuries.
Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the LaRue County Sheriff’s Office, Larue County EMS, LaRue County Fire and the LaRue County Coroner’s Office.
The collision remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
