An 8-year-old boy and man were taken to the hospital after a shooting in the Southside neighborhood on Sunday night, according to Louisville Metro Police.
LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said police responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Kingston Avenue, near South Third Street, around 9:27 p.m.
When police arrived on scene, they found a boy and man who had been shot in a drive-by shooting. The child was taken to Norton Children’s Hospital and the man was taken to University of Louisville Hospital.
Mitchell said both victims have non-life-threatening injuries.
LMPD’s Non-Fatal shooting unit is investigating, but police don’t have any suspects.
