Police are conducting a death investigation after a woman’s body was found at an apartment in Louisville’s Portland neighborhood early Thursday morning.
Louisville Metro Police officers were called about 8:15 a.m. to an apartment building on Duncan Street near 29th Street, which is just a block from Atkinson Elementary, and found an adult woman deceased.
LMPD Homicide Department was notified but is waiting for the outcome of an autopsy.
