
The Louisville Alcoholic Beverage Control has issued an emergency suspension of the Hot Spot’s liquor license after a shooting at the Club killed two and injured two others.
Officers responded to the scene near the 200 Block of Evangeline Avenue around 5 a.m. Saturday, according to a Louisville Metro Police spokesperson.
Upon arrival, Police found one man shot dead, as well as another man and women injured in the shooting.
First responders took the two victims to UofL Hospital, where the man eventually died. Shortly after, Louisville Metro Police notes, a man arrived at the hospital, saying he had also been shot at the night club.
In the last update Louisville Metro Police Department shared, the man is in stable condition and the woman is in serious condition.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is leading this investigation. There are currently no known suspects and police are asking for the public’s help.

Metro Council has passed an ordinance allowing Louisville ABC to issue emergency suspensions of licenses, in cases where there is a threat to public safety, health or welfare across the county. That included situations involving firearm use and violations that lead to a death.
A suspension hearing for the licensee, in this case the Hot Spot, will take place within three days of the action.
