
Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a man crashed his vehicle while leaving the scene where he was shot in Valley Station Tuesday evening.
According to Aaron Ellis, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police Department, officers were called to a reported shooting in the 4900 block of Granada Drive around 7:30 p.m. But the location changed as police headed to the scene to the 9700 block of Anita Boulevard. The streets are in the same neighborhood, off Dixie Highway between Stonestreet Road and Valley Station Road.
Once on scene, police found a man with a gunshot wound in a vehicle that had crashed. He was taken to University Hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
Police learned through their investigation the victim was shot on Libby Lane, which is near the scene officers responded to, and the victim made his way in the vehicle to Anita Boulevard.
LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating, but had no suspects and had made no arrests.
