A man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Oldham County on Thursday, according to police.
Oldham County Police responded to a report of a crash on US 42 near Tirbracken Lane around 4:15 p.m.
Officers found that a motorcycle was traveling west on US 42 when it hit a guardrail. The motorcyclist was taken to UofL Hospital where he later died from his injuries. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the man as 69-year-old Donovan Pike of Prospect.
Police said the cause of the crash is currently unknown, and it does not appear that any other vehicles were involved. The investigation is ongoing.
