A Georgia woman was arrested Wednesday night after authorities found a deceased infant inside a toilet at the IHOP restaurant on Scottsville Road.
Shaniqua D. Caldwell, 35, was charged with one count of concealing the birth of an infant.
A caller said a person was bleeding inside a bathroom and believed they had miscarried.
The caller also told police a baby was in the toilet and a woman had attempted to flush the baby. She allegedly fled on foot while witnesses were trying to call authorities.
Bowling Green Police Officers found a dead infant in the bathroom, according to an arrest citation.
Caldwell was spotted at a nearby Red Roof Inn, where she told police she was not pregnant and had not had sex in at least 6 years. She also told police she was related to Michael Jordan and Denzel Washington.
Caldwell refused treatment from EMS at the scene. She was taken into custody for an emergency mental evaluation.
An autopsy is pending in the ongoing investigation.
Additional charges could be possible pending the investigation, according to police.
