On Friday night around 10:30 p.m., Richardsville Fire Department, Medical Center EMS and Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to Beech Bend Park.
Upon arrival, they located 30-year-old Robert Cherry, of Bowling Green, at the top of the Kentucky Rumbler roller coaster hill at Beech Bend Park. Emergency personnel climbed onto the tracks where negotiations began.
After an hour of negotiations, Cherry came down the hill peacefully without harming himself or the emergency personnel.
Cherry was booked in the Warren County Regional Jail early Saturday morning for Wanton endangerment (second degree); Disorderly conduct (second degree); Criminal trespassing (second degree); Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/substance (first degree); Fleeing or evading police with a motor vehicle (first degree); Fleeing or evading police on foot (second degree) and Menacing.
He remains in the Warren County Regional Jail under a $10,000 cash bond.
