One person is dead after a single-vehicle accident Friday night near Bowling Green just south of Plano.
Warren County Sheriff’s Office says it happened just before 10 p.m. in the 7600 block of Woodburn Allen Springs Road.
Sheriff Brett Hightower said a 2013 Ford Edge, driven by 30 year-old James William Gregory of Bowling, was traveling on Woodburn Allen Springs Road when the vehicle went off the side of the road into a yard and struck a tree.
First responders arrived on the scene and attempted CPR, but Gregory was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County Coroner.
According to the sheriff’s office, no other occupants were in the vehicle.
Plano Volunteer Fire Department, Bowling Green Medical Center, and the Warren County Coroner assisted the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office noted alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
