A portion of Nashville Road was closed Saturday afternoon as emergency services responded to a three-vehicle accident with a rollover at the intersection of Nashville Road and Dishman Lane.
According to a Bowling Green Police report, it happened around 6:15 p.m. when a Jeep Gladiator, driven by 38-year-old Joseph Brazell, exited Slim Chickens, turned right onto Nashville Road, and collided with a Honda Accord stopped in traffic. This caused the Honda to be pushed into the GMC Acadia in front of them. The passenger of the GMC was taken to TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital via ambulance.
Brazell was airlifted to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. He has since been treated and released. The report shows alcohol as a suspected factor because he had been drinking alcohol earlier in the day, according to police.
The roadway was closed for over an hour while crews reconstructed and cleared the scene.
The investigation is ongoing as the Bowling Green Police Department is waiting to receive surveillance video from Slim Chickens and will be obtaining a subpoena for Brazell’s medical records.
