The body of a Shelby County man who vanished Saturday while swimming in Guist Creek Lake has been recovered.
According to Shelby County Coroner Jeff Ivers,50 year-old Robert Ridener was aboard a pontoon boat with his family around 2 p.m. when family members said he dove into the water without a life jacket.
They called 911 when he didn’t resurface and attempts to find him were unsuccessful.
Ridener’s body was recovered Sunday by the Louisville Metro Police Department dive team. His death has been ruled accidental.
