A 59-year-old Campbellsville man was found dead Tuesday at a manufacturing plant in Elizabethtown.
Elizabethtown police were called around 4:30 p.m. after it was discovered that an employee at Metalsa, later identified as Franklin Logsdon, never clocked out and could not be found.
Metalsa employees reportedly “searched the plant high and low and could not find him,” according to a statement from Elizabethtown Police.
At some point during the search, police say it was determined there was a high probability Logsdon may have fallen into a chemical holding tank.
The chemical tank was searched and the body of Logsdon was found inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
