A teen was arrested after he fled police on Tuesday and crashed into two other vehicles on Taylor Boulevard.
Around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, police said 18-year-old Bilal Malindo was driving by the Taylor Boulevard and Watterson overpass. Officers tried to pull Malindo over because of his tinted car windows, but Malindo sped off from police. He drove about 100 yards and crashed into two cars nearby, injuring five people.
Malindo got out of the car and ran to a nearby parking lot and tossed his gun through the windshield of another car, according to police.
He was arrested by police on 13 charges, including five counts of felony wanton endangerment and tampering with evidence. An arrest citation said officers found drugs and other illegal items while searching his car.
Malindo was lodged in the Louisville Metro Department of Correnctions.
