A 13-year-old shot and killed in Louisville’s Chickasaw neighborhood Wednesday night has been identified.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said Daviawn Blackmon died from a gunshot wound in the 3800 block of West Broadway.
According to Louisville Metro Police, officers were called to the 700 block of South 38th Street, near West Broadway, around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday on a reported shooting.
Once on scene police found the victim, Blackmon, who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting. No arrests have been made.
