
Churchill Downs set a new record for wagering during the 150th Spring Meet.
According to a news release, the Louisville horse racing track had a total of $708.3 million wagered during the 43-day stand that ended on Sunday. It broke the 2022 Spring Meet record of $614.8 million by $93.5 million.
Ten years ago, the Spring Meet betting total was $368.8 million.
Churchill Downs reported the six-day Derby Week from April 27 to May rose to $446.6 million, including $320.5 million on the 150th Kentucky Derby day.
