A 67 year-old Monroe County man is facing charges in connection with an indictment for sexual offenses.
Gerald E. Ryan faces charges including third-degree rape and sodomy, stemming from incidents that allegedly occurred around May 22. The case was investigated by the Kentucky State Police, who presented evidence to a grand jury on June 20.
Ryan’s bond was adjusted Monday due to a medical concern. Initially set at $25,000, the bond was modified to $5,000 cash or $10,000 property.
A judge has also set various conditions on his bond, including pretrial monitoring and a 24-hour curfew.
He is scheduled for an arraignment on July 18.
