A section of I-264 (Watterson Expressway) in Louisville is scheduled to be temporarily shut down on Sunday, July 14.
I-264 East and West will be closed in both directions from the I-264/I-64 interchange to the I-264/I-71 interchange. The closure is expected to begin at 7 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.
This closure will allow LG&E crews to work on overhead electric transmission and distribution lines near US-42 (Brownsboro Road), according to an LG&E and KU news release.
The electrical work planned this weekend is in preparation for Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s upcoming road widening project, according to LG&E officials.
