A Louisville man has been indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury after police say he crashed his car into a woman’s car during a street race, killing her.
Mohammad Talib, 34, is charged with murder, three counts of wanton endangerment, one count of criminal mischief, one count of racing a motor vehicle on a highway and one count of speeding.
The charges come from a deadly crash in March on Bardstown Road near Iona Court. Police say Talib was racing down Bardstown Road while Ellen Hornback was turning left onto the roadway, and Talib crashed into her vehicle.
Hornback died before she could be taken to the hospital. Three others in Talib’s vehicle were not hurt.
Talib is currently at Metro Corrections.
