Three men have been taken into custody on drug trafficking charges after an investigation by St. Matthews police that lasted several months.
The suspects, 34 year-old Antwan Turner, 27 year-old Coryontez Dwayne Thomas and 32 year-old Tywan D. Pope, all of Louisville, were arrested July 25.
Arrest citations for the men say St. Matthews Police served search warrants at five locations in the Louisville Metro area that were being used by the men to traffic narcotics. The citations go on to say over 100 pounds of meth, fentanyl, carfentanil and marijuana were found. Police also found “numerous guns” that included automatic rifles and handguns.
In addition to a large amount of cash and several vehicles, police also found kilo presses, pill presses, digital scales and cutting agents along with other drug paraphernalia.
Police said all three men, who are convicted felons, have worked together for at least the last three months to traffic drugs in the Louisville area. St. Matthews Police said they anticipate another arrest.
The men were booked into Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.
