
Kentucky State Police responded to a two-vehicle fatal collision in Breckinridge County Saturday (07/27) evening that left one person dead.
Just after 5 p.m. CDT, Kentucky State Police Post 4 received a call from the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office requesting assistance investigating a fatal collision involving a passenger car and a motorcycle near the 1500 block of KY 144.
The preliminary investigation revealed that 58 year-old William T. Dowell, of Sample, Kentucky, was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle north on KY 144 when he failed to negotiate a curve and crossed the center line and into the path of a 2024 Hyundai, operated by 35 year-old Breeanna Adams, of Henderson.
Dowell was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Breckinridge County Coroner’s Office. Adams was not injured.
The affected portion of KY 144 was closed down for several hours to allow troopers to reconstruct the collision. Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office, Breckinridge County EMS and the Breckinridge County Coroner’s Office.
The collision remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
