The world’s largest producer of home appliances is expanding its operations in Louisville.
Hollenbach Oakley announced Monday it plans to grow Midea America’s footprint at its facility in Blankenbaker Station nearly fivefold. The project is expected to create 110 new jobs.
Louisville-based commercial real estate firm Hollenback Oakley was awarded the project management agreement. Midea America, based in New Jersey, has a research and development center in Louisville.
Plans call for Midea to invest $35.6 million to expand its office and lab space at the 600-acre “Class A” business park. The expanded facility will be located at 2700 Chestnut Station Court, which is part of the Phase III Blankenbaker Station project.
Design plans are already in place, according to a news release from Hollenbach Oakley. Groundbreaking is scheduled for late 2024.
