A man is dead after police said he crashed into the corner of a home on Goldsmith Lane and Hikes Lane around 10:37 a.m. Thursday.
Police said the driver was the only person inside the car. Louisville Metro Police and Louisville Fire were able to get the man out of the car and he was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital.
Officials said he suffered a medical emergency.
The man died from his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital. There was no one inside the home during the crash. No other cars were involved.
