Two people have been arrested on multiple drug charges after being found unresponsive in a vehicle in Christian County on Wednesday.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch in the area of East Princeton Street and Crofton-Fruithill Road in Crofton, according to a news release.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered two individuals, later identified as 32 year-old Joshua L. Scott and 32 year-old Amber D. Crook unconscious inside the vehicle.
EMS was summoned and revived both subjects at the scene, according to officials.
Authorities allegedly found a “significant quantity” of drug-related items, including methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana, or spice, suboxone strips, other unidentified narcotics, drug paraphernalia, as well as U.S. currency, inside the vehicle.
Both subjects were transported to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center and taken to the Christian County Jail after receiving medical clearance.
Both Scott and Crook were charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of synthetic drugs (first offense), possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in a controlled substance (first offense).
