
A Hodgenville man was arrested in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in the Upton area just before noon on Wednesday.
According to authorities, 33-year-old Matthew Bush is charged with murder, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident after hitting 71-year-old James Hawk, of Upton, on an Upton street.
Hawk was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bush’s vehicle was located a couple of miles away in Hart County, where he tried to hide it in a barn. He was taken into custody by Hart County deputies a short time later.
