On Thursday, Judge Larry Medlock ordered two rulings in the case of Dejaune Anderson, the mother charged with the murder of her 5-year-old son.
Medlock ordered Anderson will be committed to a psychiatric facility in Indiana after she was found incompetent to stand trial. He also revoked her pro se status, which means Anderson will no longer be allowed to represent herself in court.
Anderson was charged with killing her son, Cairo Jordan, and abandoning his body in a suitcase in the woods.
In July, Medlock ordered her to quit filing conspiracy filled motions attacking her public defender, the Washington County Court, and others. He warned she could be held in contempt of court.
Anderson has previously filed motions to dismiss the case against her, making false claims and refusing to cooperate.
All of her upcoming court hearings and trial have been canceled. It is not clear if prosecutors will try her later.
