Michelin North America is investing $50 million at American Synthetic Rubber Company to build a natural gas boiler facility in Louisville’s Rubbertown neighborhood.
The rubber company is off Camp Ground Road. The new facility is expected to significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
A model shows what the new boiler facility will look like. Michelin said this will bring better air quality, the elimination of coal ash waste and less water usage.
The facility is expected to be finished in 2026.
